Our origin story at Algebraic Tutors stemmed from two fundamental inquiries: Why do numerous students hold a negative perception of mathematics (deeming it irrelevant and unenjoyable) and why do certain high school matriculants excel in Grade 12 yet do poorly in first year university? Upon contemplation of these questions, Algebraic Tutors was established to address these educational disparities.

Founded by two accomplished pure mathematicians from one of South Africa's best universities, each founder possesses two mathematics degrees and is currently pursuing a third. Adhering to a rigorous recruitment policy, Algebraic Tutors selectively recruits tutors with only mathematics degrees, ensuring a high level of expertise for our diverse clientele seeking top-tier mathematics instruction. In addition to offering one-on-one face-to-face tutoring sessions, our tutoring service also provides online and blended tutoring options, offering a more cost-effective solution for many and enabling students to familiarize themselves with online learning-thereby preparing them for university and the digital workplace.
